Haha, I never thought of it that way! Well It's kind of a metaphor. The ribbons are the boys negative feelings such as "fear and "anxiety". When he gets riled up, the ribbons attack him to make him feel more scared. The girl he turns into is actually a spirit that lives his regular life when he is trying to find peace in his mind. When it gets like that they switch bodies.. in his mind or something, haha. I haven't really worked out this logic yet but that was my point with this animation. ^^
